The lively flex comes courtesy of tip-to-tail poplar wood, with added beech wood strips down the insert pack to beef up response while still giving the board a comfortable torsional flex for turns. The extra spring in ollies comes from two large lengthwise slabs of carbon fiber running mid-binding. “The DOA is on the playful, freestyle side of all-mountain,” chimed another, which is true for this twin-tip freestyle charger. The DOA comes with a few upgrades this season, including stainless steel inserts, stronger Kevlar-bound sidewalls, and a faster base.
